Christopher Peditto (Producer, Writer, Director)
began his career as the
producing artistic director of the Chicago-born theater company - igLoo. Under his
direction, the ensemble quickly established a reputation as "one of the most significant
young theater companies in Chicago." (Chicago Tribune). He has adapted and directed
several noted stage premieres, including: John Fante's "The Road to Los Angeles" (igLoo
Theatre, Chicago), David Goodis' "Black Friday" (Live Bait Theatre Company,
Chicago), Jim Thompson's "The Killer Inside Me" (Off-Broadway at Currican Theatre,
NYC) and Charles Bukowski's "Pulp" (Soho Rep, NYC). He has co-produced
documentaries for Tribune Entertainment, The Learning Channel and HBO, including the
HBO America Undercover special "Talked to Death" (1997 CableAce Award, Best
Documentary Special). He produced the feature film Pictures of Baby Jane Doe starring
Calista Flockhart, which won Best Picture at the 1999 New York International
Independent Film Festival. He is currently in production on Written on the Body--an IDA fiscally sponsored documentary feature about the hidden epidemic of self-injury. He
co-wrote with Barry Gifford (Wild At Heart, Lost Highway) the screenplay Black Wings
Has My Angel, based on the novel by Elliott Chaze. The film, which Peditto is set to
direct in 2008, is being produced by actor Elijah Wood and Indalo
Productions. Light and the Sufferer, which is Peditto's debut feature, had its World
premiere at the 2007 Edmonton International Film Festival.
Jonathan Lethem (Author) has written seven novels, including the bestsellers The Fortress of Solitude and Motherless Brooklyn, which won the National Book Critics Circle Award and was named novel of the year by Esquire. His stories, interviews and essays have appeared in The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, Esquire, McSweeney's, Tin House, the New York Times, the Paris Review, and a variety of other periodicals and anthologies. He was named as one of the 2005 recipients of the MacArthur Fellowship. He lives in Brooklyn, New York and Maine. Lana Bernberg (Cinematographer) Lana began her career as an animator on Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas. Her interest and experience in each part of the filmmaking process distinguishes her thoughtful shooting style. Highlights on her resume include: commercials for Elizabeth Arden and Nautica; music videos for Idlewild and Mercury Rev; television pilots for Nickolodeon; and contributions to numerous documentaries including Naked States. Internationally exhibited, Lana's short films, (co-director/D.P.), have screened in festivals such as the Sundance Film Festival and IMPAKT Holland. She has received awards for About Laughter from the Chicago International Film Festival, and Ellipsis for Best Film at The Calgary Film Festival. Lana's fine art photography has been exhibited at group shows in New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Diego and Miami. Her photographs have also been collected into private and corporate collections. Most recently, Lana's work was featured in two solo exhibitions in New York at Perimeter Gallery and DTW Gallery. Irene Cagen (Casting Director) Irene's recent feature film credits include: Masked and Anonymous, starring Bob Dylan, John Goodman, Jessica Lange, Luke Wilson, Jeff Bridges and Penelope Cruz, which premiered at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival; Miramax Films' Playing By Heart, starring Sean Connery, Ellen Burstyn, Angelina Jolie, Ryan Phillippe, John Stewart, Gena Rowlands, Madeline Stowe, Dennis Quad and Gillian Anderson. Noted television credits include (pilot, series and mini-series): "Medium" starring Patricia Arquette (NBC); Stephen King's "Kingdom Hospital" (ABC); "That's Life" (20th Century Fox); "Alien Nation" (20th Century Fox); "The Boys" (The Brillstein Company); Episodic television: "Secret Agent Man" (Columbia, Barry Sonnerfeld, Executive Producer); "Fame" (MGM/UA). Maria Chryssikos (Production Designer) British born and educated, Maria originally trained in Theatre Design at the acclaimed Wimbledon School of Art in London and spent subsequent years designing shows for Andrew Lloyd Webbers 'Really Useful Group' both in London and internationally. Maria is known for her art direction on numerous high profile commercials, music promos, TV and live events in London, Europe and beyond, as well as several industry awards including an MTV Europe nomination for Best Music Video for her work on RSA's Primal Scream - 'Miss Lucifer' alongside the Oscar-nominated John Mathison (DOP) and Dawn Shadforth (DIR). Maria is represented by Deborah Randall-Cutler at ART DEPART in London. Erin Muldoon Stetson (Production Designer) Erin Muldoon Stetson earned her undergraduate degree in Art History from Boston College in 1996 and an Interdisciplinary Master's Degree in the Humanities and Social Thought from New York University in 2000. Erin has been working as a production designer/art director in New York City since 1999. She production designed the feature film, Invitation to a Suicide, which premiered at the AFI Los Angeles Film Festival 2004. Erin also art directed Pop Life which was recently shown at the Tribeca Film Center in their First Look Film Series. Pop Life was written/directed by Andy Brown and Anne McCabe and produced by Nancy Tenenbaum, Greg Mottola, and Gill Holland. Mark Nelson (Music) Mark Nelson is a member of the critically acclaimed post-rock band Labradford, which was formed in Richmond, Virginia in 1992. The band uses non-traditional arrangements and production techniques to create soundtrack-like effects and heavy soundscapes. In 1998, Mark released his first full-length release as Pan American. Although Labradford no longer record together, Mark continues to release albums as Pan American on Kranky Records. Edmund Mooney (Sound Design) has worked extensively in electro-acoustic music and sound design for all media. His work has been presented at P.S.122, Dance Theater Workshop, Dancespace, WAX, the Ohio Theater, and Centro Universitario Maria Antonia - Sao Paulo, Brazil, among others. Recent works include "To the Click", with Willa Carroll, at Judson Church, "Failing Me Now", with Paul Matteson, at DTW and Terra Acoustica at Hunter College. He is a founding member of 7 Arts Productions, presenting multi-disciplinary work throughout New York City, and abroad. Recent festivals presenting his music include: the Plackard Festival at The Tank in NYC, the dance Camera West Festival in Santa Monica CA, and the Dance on Camera Festival at Lincoln Center. Fredrik Carlstr–m (Co-Producer) Since relocating from Sweden in 2000, leaving a successful career as creative director/founding partner in the advertising industry, he has done coverage for Academy Award winning producer Edward Saxon (Adaptation, Philadelphia, Silence of the Lambs), produced numerous independent features and directed the occasional commercial. He is a frequent lecturer and serves on the film panel for the New York State Council on the Arts. He recently produced Destricted, a series of short films directed by acclaimed artists including Matthew Barney, Larry Clark and Sam Taylor-Wood which premiered at 2006 Sundance Film Festival. He heads up Third Factory in New York, where he lives. Julie Gonthier (Co-Producer) Julie began her independent film career as a business development assistant at The Shooting Gallery (Sling Blade, You Can Count on Me, The Minus Man). After leaving The Shooting Gallery she worked in production under many of New York's veteran filmmakers including two-time Academy Award winning producer Barbara Kopple, Fine Line Features founder Ira Deutchman and producer Mark Tarlov (Cecil B. Demented, Mortal Thoughts, Christine). In recent years she has worked on over 11 feature projects. Among these she was the line producer on Invitation to a Suicide and Greenpoint Tavern and the production manager on Black Wine and Liars II. In addition, she was part of the production team on Wasteland, a feature documentary, as well as The Terrapin, a short film adapted from a novel written by Patricia Highsmith (The Talented Mr. Ripley). Jake Taylor (3D Director) Jake is the lead 3D animator for HBO Online, where he has created numerous online animations for hit HBO series like The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Six Feet Under, Oz and Autopsy: America Undercover. David Marks (Co-Producer) David is a Director of New Media and Video Production for Columbia University in New York, NY. He has also worked as an Avid Editor at Young and Rubicam Advertising, as well as a production manager for commercials and an editor for independent films. David studied screenwriting, photography, and computer science at Columbia University and earned a BFA from the University of Arizona. Jake Taylor (3D Director) Jake is the lead 3D animator for HBO Online, where he has created numerous online animations for hit HBO series like The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Six Feet Under, Oz and Autopsy: America Undercover. Tronic Studio (Visual Effects Artists) Tronic Studio is a New York-based multi-disciplinary design firm specializing in Broadcast Design, 3D animation and the visual arts. Since 2000, Tronic Studio has brought its unique vision and creativity to a variety of artistic projects, including an interactive installation for the Diesel Denim Gallery (Soho,NY), CG content for Nikelab.com and a virtual set for the musical "Miss Saigon".
